Waarom eigenlijk niet,
een electrische fan inbouwen
wanneer de mechanische
de oplosing niet meer is.

Uitdaging blijft ook
de thermische schakelaar.

Eventueel een schakelaar op het stuur?

is door Ouwe Jan al geregeld op die van mij, er zit een schakelaartje op lammetje, kan hem desgewenst aan-en uitschakelen, ook doet die Fan het nog automatisch, ideaal voor erg warm weer.

Ik begrijp dat er hier ook mensen rondrijden met een elektrische ventilator. Ben ik nieuwsgierig wat voor ventilator er gebruikt is en hoe deze is gemonteerd en aangesloten. Heb het Amerikaanse artikel gelezen en is deze techniek hier ook toegepast?

Sjoerd alle cx650 machines zijn uitgevoerd met een Electrische ventilator
Er zijn ook cx500 motoren die dit systeem zelf hebben gemaakt
Met gebruik van onderdelen van een cx650 motor
De radiator is er speciaal voor gemaakt voor de aansluiting van thermostaat en de electrische ventilator
maar het grootste probleem is de motorophanging deze zijn niet het zelfde wil je meer weten dan kan je wel eens naar Wieringerwerf komen omdit allemaal te kunnen zien

I've got one on my CX500, even did a little computer controller, but experience now is that it is not usefull, a simple thermoswitch as in the example above is fine. Send me a PM if you want local info.

Wat zijn de voordelen van het gebruik van een elektrische radiator?

Electric works only when the temperature rises, so there is no permament load on the engine... however.. more important is that honda fans are flawed and they crack around the centre coupling - it may bring a disaster on your radiator. Once, I saw a case in which a camshaft broke so it is just safer to discard your 30 years old fan and replace it with a safe and more 'energy-saving' solution... (mind that honda also mounted electric in the 650 models).

You can inspect your radiator by looking with a dentist mirror under the mounting coupling (from the engine's side)



Initially the cracks are small... then they get bigger and bigger so that they go through to the other side.. and at any moment the fan may slip off from its coupling... sometimes the fan will give you a warning rattle/clanking sounds.. sometimes it just explodes and plays havoc around...
